About Marta
Marta Vizueta Bohórquez is a dynamic and engaging belly dance artist and sought-after instructor in the Washington, D.C. area. Highly noted for her musical interpretation, elegance, and technique, her repertoire consists of oriental style, tribal, and fusion belly dance.
As a choreographer, she blends flamenco, modern Indian dance, and Afro-Cuban dance in her contemporary fusion projects, while maintaining a firm grasp of Egyptian style belly dance in classical works.
She is the founder & former co-director of DCTribal, a regional educational network of tribal and fusion belly dancers. She is also a former Sahara Dance instructor, and was part of the award-winning professional troupe, Raqs Sahara.
Marta performs Egyptian and tribal styles regularly at prominent restaurants and stage shows, and is available to dance at private parties, theater events and other celebrations.
